Description

Varen, an SAIC company is seeking an experienced Sr. Information Systems Security Officer to join our team. This position is located in Suitland, Maryland and requires a TS/SCI with polygraph.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the creation and continuous maintenance of the IT Systems Accreditation Documentation Packages (SSP, SCTM, CONOPs, A&A, Test Plan, SOP’s. User Guides etc).
• Provide IA security on-site support for all formal IT systems and A&A testing.
• Ensure all on-site contract IT systems personnel are trained on all IA procedures and requirements for each of the IT systems.
• Provide IA Security qualified personnel resources to support the continued accreditation and security operation of the information system under the RMF Continuous Monitoring Plan.
• Review all hardware and software changes proposed and/or being implemented for appropriate security operation, providing configuration management support as it relates to the security configuration of the system, updating documentation and hardware and software inventory lists.
• Propose IA policy, procedures, provide IT security training, and perform IA oversight.

Qualifications

• Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more related experience.
• Active TS/SCI with polygraph.

Target salary range $160,001 – $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
