Senior Security Engineer – NHI (Machine Identity) Governance

Location: Remote | Duration: 6-Month Contract Overview

We’re seeking a Senior Engineer to lead Non-Human Identity (NHI) governance as AI adoption accelerates. This role sits at the intersection of Identity, Cloud, and Cybersecurity , owning the rollout of an NHI platform and building the operational foundation for secure AI and machine identity management. This is a hands-on, high-visibility role with strong cross-functional impact—not a policy-only position. Key Responsibilities

Lead deployment and operationalization of the NHI governance platform Build workflows for machine identity lifecycle (provisioning, rotation, access reviews, decommissioning) Establish governance processes for service accounts, API keys, and tokens Identify and remediate orphaned or ungoverned credentials Partner across Identity, Cloud, Security, and AI teams to enforce scalable controls Develop dashboards, reporting, and operational documentation Required Qualifications

5+ years in Infrastructure, Identity, or Security Engineering Experience with secrets management tools (e.g., HashiCorp Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, Azure Key Vault) Strong knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP Familiarity with OAuth, OIDC, SAML, and API-based authentication Experience implementing enterprise security or identity platforms Nice to Have

Experience with NHI/security platforms (e.g., Entro Security, Astrix) Exposure to AI agents and machine-to-machine authentication Security certifications (CISSP, CCSP, etc.) Why This Role
