Enhance UNB’s cybersecurity defenses as a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst in Fredericton with a hybrid work model. Focus on advanced security strategies, detection, and incident response. Reporting to the Acting Chief Information Officer, this full-time role seeks an analyst to strengthen UNB’s cybersecurity posture.

Successful candidates will collaborate with IT staff to set protocols, enhance monitoring tools, and respond swiftly to incidents. The role requires a deep understanding of evolving threats and the ability to implement mitigation strategies effectively. Key Responsibilities:

• Establish baselines for anomaly detection across systems
• Implement and refine monitoring tools for cybersecurity
• Verify effectiveness of preventive measures within the organization
• Lead incident response and conduct forensic analyses
• Maintain awareness of the changing threat landscape Requirements:
• Undergraduate degree in Technology or Engineering
• 5 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity
• 3 years in a senior or lead role
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Willingness to develop cybersecurity certifications Drive impact in cybersecurity and support UNB’s mission through a strategic analytical approach.
