The NCS Cyber team is looking for a Security Operations Analyst to be part of Cyber Operations function. You will have the opportunity to work closely with multiple teams on the development of Cyber Operations and the ability to shape and influence the security monitoring process and other cyber operations activities. You will report to the Cyber Security Operations Lead who is responsible for responding to high-critical severity incidents, SIEM monitoring & investigation and have a part to play on formulating security automation runbooks.

WHAT WE SEEK TO ACCOMPLISH TOGETHER
• Perform core cyber-security operation functions such as security monitoring and incident handling.
• Provide timely review of security alerts originating from any source including managed security services, internal tools.
• Creation of SIEM custom detection rules to identify suspicious cyber threats or anomaly activities.
• Experience responding to security events, including front-line analysis and escalation, on hacktivist, cybercrime, and APT activity.
• Monitor and perform deeper analysis, trending and root cause analysis of security events from SIEM.
• Active participation in reviewing and fine-tuning SOC capability to ensure the Security Operations is able to address new emerging threat.
• Identify coverage and efficiency gaps in security runbook, security monitoring and response tooling.
• Support a continuous vulnerability scanning and reporting program encompassing a vast network of internal and public-facing IT assets across multiple platforms and architectures.
• Produce detailed incident reports and technical briefs for management and business leaders.
• Maintain current knowledge and understanding of the threat landscape and emerging security threats.
• Leading and managing internal cyber security projects as required.
• Be on standby rotation, responding to high severity incidents escalated by cyber security operations analysts.
Qualifications
The Ideal candidate should posess:
• Diploma in Cyber Security or other related disciplines
• Diploma graduate with less than two years of relevant working experience
• Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, good team player and highly collaborative
