Overview: SimVentions, consistently recognized as one of the best places to work, is seeking a talented and experienced Red Team Cybersecurity Penetration Tester to join our team! In this role, you will lead penetration testing and offensive cybersecurity operations for U.S. Government and DoD systems. Collaborating with Blue Team and cybersecurity professionals, you will work to enhance overall cyber posture.

Travel: Negligible

Clearance: An ACTIVE Secret Clearance is required for this position. An ACTIVE Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility is preferred. Applicants must be U.S. citizens to obtain a clearance.

Requirements: Minimum of five (5) years of experience in software engineering or relevant areas.
• Strong knowledge of Linux and foundational understanding of Windows.
• Proficient with common Penetration Testing tools such as Kali, Metasploit, NMAP, and Cobalt Strike.
• Experience in Penetration Testing, Red Team Operations, or Tool/Software Development.
• Proficient in programming languages including Python, C, C#, C++, Go, Perl, and Powershell.
• Web Development skills with knowledge of NSX, vCenter, Firewalls, and cloud services.
• Familiarity with identity management in Azure, Active Directory, and related technologies.
• Experience with AWS, security audits, and microservices architecture.
• Experience in Web Services penetration testing and authentication protocols.
• Possess relevant certifications including Security+, CCNA Security, or any Offensive Security or SANS certifications.

Responsibilities:
• Debug and reverse engineer software.
• Analyze operating system logs.
• Program and debug scripts and GUIs using various tools.
• Recommend software modifications for security improvements.
• Identify security flaws in code and implementations.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to security documentation.

Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Compensation: Projected annual compensation range is $110,000-$150,000 (USD), based on experience and qualifications.
