About the Role
Product Security Lead – responsible for building and scaling the product security function, embedding security across the software development lifecycle and integrating it into design, build, test, release, and operations.
Responsibilities
• Build and scale the product security function from the ground up.
• Embed security across the entire SDLC for web, mobile, desktop, APIs, and cloud platforms.
• Partner with development, DevOps, QA, and product teams to deliver secure, developer‑friendly solutions.
• Drive a shift‑left approach and promote secure development practices.
Qualifications
• 5+ years experience in a product security role.
• Strong understanding of end‑to‑end software development (web, APIs, cloud, mobile).
• Experience embedding security into the SDLC (design, development, testing, release, operations).
• Solid application security knowledge (OWASP Top10, authentication, authorization, APIs, cryptography).
• Experience with secure code review and direct collaboration with developers.
• Knowledge of DevSecOps practices (SAST, SCA, secrets scanning, CI/CD security).
• Experience in vulnerability management and risk‑based prioritization.
• Ability to perform threat modeling and security testing (DAST, pentesting, API security testing).
• Understanding of cloud and modern architectures (microservices, IAM, containers).
• Awareness of supply chain security and third‑party risk.
• Strong communication skills and a pragmatic, ownership‑driven mindset.
• EU citizen or valid work permit to work in Spain.
Nice to Have
• Experience in SaaS or multi‑platform product companies.
• Experience with bug bounty programs or coordinated vulnerability disclosure.
• Scripting or automation skills to integrate or operationalize security controls.
