About the Role
The Company seeks a dynamic Part-Time Virtual Chief Information Security Officer (vCISO) to strategically lead and shape its enterprise-wide cybersecurity program. This role is crucial for consolidating and enhancing various cybersecurity initiatives into a cohesive framework.
The successful candidate will:
• Define a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy and roadmap aligned with relevant frameworks and regulations.
• Establish and operationalize robust cybersecurity governance structures.
• Redesign the Information Security Oversight Committee and facilitate regular governance meetings.
• Translate cybersecurity risks into clear business impacts.
• Develop executive-level reporting on cybersecurity metrics.
• Mentor and support the internal security leader to foster capability and ownership.
We are looking for applicants with:
• Senior-level cybersecurity leadership experience, preferably as a CISO or vCISO.
• A proven track record in establishing enterprise cybersecurity programs.
• Strong governance and risk management skills.
• Exceptional executive communication abilities.
• Experience in public sector or highly regulated environments.
• Familiarity with IT/OT convergence, cloud technologies, and regulatory frameworks such as CJIS and PCI-DSS.
Please note this role is strategic and does not involve direct execution of technical controls or incident response management. Instead, the vCISO will serve as a strategic advisor, guiding the internal team towards owning and executing the cybersecurity program effectively.
