Shift: 40 Hrs./ Week (M- F)
Mode: 3 days onsite
Pay Rate: $40/Hr. – $55/Hr. on W2 (Based on year of Experience)
Job Description:
This role sits within Network Operations and is responsible for the day-to-day operation, support, and maintenance of enterprise network and security infrastructure across data center and enterprise environments.
The engineer will support a hybrid environment spanning firewalls, routing/switching, NAC, DNS, and data center infrastructure, ensuring systems remain stable, secure, and compliant with enterprise security standards.
This is a hands-on operational role with significant troubleshooting, vendor coordination, and off-hours production support.
Must-Have Requirements
• 4+ years in enterprise network and/or network security operations
• Hands-on experience with firewalls:
o Check Point
o Fortinet
o F5 (LTM/GTM exposure preferred)
• Strong Cisco networking experience:
o ASR, Nexus, Catalyst platforms
• Solid understanding of:
o TCP/IP networking fundamentals
o Routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP)
• Strong Layer 2 troubleshooting experience (STP, VLAN issues)
• Experience with:
o NAC / 802.1X / EAP troubleshooting
o Wireshark and tcpdump
• Infoblox DNS administration experience
• Comfortable working in production support / incident-driven environments
• Ability to support off-hours escalations and maintenance windows
Nice-to-Have Requirements
• Experience with McAfee Web Gateway
• Exposure to enterprise financial services environments
• Experience in large-scale data center environments
• Automation / scripting exposure (Python, Ansible, etc.)
• Experience working in structured ITIL / change management environments
• Vendor-heavy operational environments (MSP / banking / telecom)
The ideal candidate is a mid-to-senior level Network / Security Operations Engineer who has:
• 5–10 years of hands-on infrastructure experience
• Worked in banking, financial services, telecom, or large enterprise environments
• Strong “run-the-platform” mindset (not design-heavy architecture focus)
• Background in one or more of:
o Network Operations Center (NOC)
o Security Operations / Firewall Engineering
o Data Center Network Engineering
• Comfortable working in:
o High-availability production environments
o Incident response + ticket-driven operations
o Hybrid infrastructure (network + security + data center)
• Strong troubleshooting discipline and ability to work across multiple layers (L2–L4)
