Position Overview

We are seeking a Network Security Engineer to join a growing technology organization that operates a highly available enterprise environment supporting critical business operations. This role is ideal for a hands on engineer who enjoys designing secure network architectures, leading infrastructure improvements, responding to complex security incidents, and serving as a technical leader across multiple business units.

This position offers the opportunity to influence enterprise security strategy while working with modern networking, cloud connectivity, application delivery, and zero trust initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain secure network standards, operational procedures, and technical documentation

• Partner with infrastructure, security, application, and business teams to ensure secure deployment of new technologies and services

• Drive continuous improvement efforts related to network performance, resilience, compliance, and risk reduction

• Participate in architecture reviews and provide guidance on secure design principles

• Support vulnerability remediation, system hardening, change management, and lifecycle planning initiatives

• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that strengthen security posture and operational efficiency

Desired Background

• Three or more years of network engineering and network security experience within enterprise environments

• Strong experience administering Fortinet security platforms including FortiGate, FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer

• Experience supporting large scale routing and switching environments

• Advanced knowledge of SD WAN architectures and secure network design

• Experience with dynamic routing protocols including OSPF and BGP

• Strong understanding of firewall policy management, threat prevention, intrusion detection, and network segmentation

• Experience with network access control solutions and identity based security frameworks

• Knowledge of cloud networking and security concepts within Azure and Google Cloud environments

• Experience with application delivery technologies including load balancing, web application protection, and secure remote access

• Experience supporting incident response, security investigations, and threat mitigation activities

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical risks and recommendations to both technical and business audiences
