Position Overview

The IT Operations & Cybersecurity Analyst supports day-to-day IT operations while assisting in maintaining cybersecurity and CMMC compliance activities across the organization. This role focuses on executing defined processes, supporting end users, maintaining documentation, and assisting with secure system integration under the direction of senior IT leadership.

This position is designed to expand internal capacity, improve responsiveness to user needs, and ensure ongoing compliance efforts are consistently maintained.

Key Responsibilities

IT Operations & User Support


Provide frontline support for employees, including:

Workstation setup, configuration, and troubleshooting

Software installation and updates

User account provisioning and deactivation


Assist with maintenance of desktops, laptops, and factory-floor systems

Support internal systems such as ERP, intranet tools, and shared resources

Track and document support requests and resolutions

CMMC Compliance & Documentation Support


Maintain and organize compliance documentation, including:

System Security Plan (SSP) updates

Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&M) tracking

Access control and audit records


Assist in preparing and organizing evidence for CMMC Level 2 requirements

Document system configurations, processes, and data flows

Support periodic access reviews and policy enforcement activities

Security Operations Support


Monitor and review system logs and alerts under guidance

Assist in implementing established security controls and procedures

Support user access management and enforcement of least-privilege principles

Coordinate with external providers (e.g., PreVeil) for routine operational needs

Data & Systems Support


Assist with SQL queries and report generation for internal stakeholders

Support data cleanup and validation activities across systems

Help document data structures and workflows within ERP and related systems

Provide support for system integration efforts (e.g., PLM, ERP) as directed

Secure Systems & Engineering Environment Support


Assist in maintaining controlled file storage areas with appropriate access controls

Help implement defined processes for handling sensitive data (including CUI)

Support integration efforts between engineering tools and secure environments

Document how data moves between systems, especially across security boundaries

Required

Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Practical familiarity with:

Basic networking concepts

Operating systems (Windows preferred)

End-user IT support


Experience or coursework involving SQL or data management

Strong organizational and documentation skills

Preferred


CompTIA Security+ certification

Exposure to scripting or programming (e.g., Python)

Familiarity with cybersecurity principles or compliance frameworks (NIST 800-171, CMMC)

Experience with reporting or data visualization tools
