Job Details:

Role: Information Security Officer (ISO)

Location: Crownsville, MD (Hybrid)

Duration: 12+ Months Contract

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field

• 5+ years of experience in security management, IT administration, or cybersecurity

• 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity assessments, remediation, or defensive operations

• Experience with cybersecurity risk management, incident response, vulnerability management, and compliance

• Experience with security frameworks, governance, policies, and technical controls

• Experience with secure architecture, security assessments, and Authority to Operate (ATO) processes

• Ability to oversee cybersecurity operations and coordinate remediation activities

• Experience developing security policies, procedures, metrics, and compliance reports

• Strong communication, documentation, project management, and stakeholder coordination skills

Preferred Experience:

• Graduate degree in a relevant field

• Experience developing cybersecurity strategies, roadmaps, and business cases

• Cross-functional cybersecurity leadership experience

• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and security frameworks, including NIST and ISO 27001

• Experience with centrally managed cybersecurity services and adoption tracking

• Cloud security and modernization experience

• Experience supporting government agencies or regulated environments
