Information Security Engineer Privileged Access Management (PAM)
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Information Security Engineer with a strong focus on Privileged Access Management (PAM) to join our Cybersecurity team. This role will be responsible for securing, managing, and monitoring privileged accounts across enterprise and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and maintain PAM solutions while ensuring appropriate controls are in place to protect critical systems, applications, and data. The engineer will collaborate closely with infrastructure, cloud, application, and security teams to integrate security best practices throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Administer, configure, and maintain Privileged Access Management (PAM) platforms and related security technologies.
Implement and enforce privileged access controls, credential vaulting, session management, and least-privilege principles.
Monitor privileged account activity and investigate suspicious or unauthorized access attempts.
Design and support privileged access solutions across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments.
Partner with cloud engineering teams to secure administrative access within Azure, AWS, and other cloud platforms.
Perform access reviews, entitlement audits, and compliance reporting.
Respond to security incidents involving privileged accounts and assist with remediation efforts.
Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards related to privileged access management.
Integrate PAM solutions with identity and access management (IAM), Active Directory, and cloud-native security services.
Support security assessments, vulnerability management activities, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in Information Security, Cybersecurity Engineering, or Identity & Access Management.
Hands-on experience implementing and administering PAM solutions such as CyberArk, Delinea (Thycotic), BeyondTrust, Saviynt, or similar platforms.
Strong understanding of privileged account security, credential management, and least-privilege access models.
Experience securing cloud environments, including Azure, AWS, and/or Google Cloud Platform.
Knowledge of Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra ID, LDAP, SSO, and MFA technologies.
Familiarity with security monitoring, incident response, and threat detection processes.
Experience with scripting or automation using PowerShell, Python, or similar technologies.
Strong understanding of security frameworks such as NIST, CIS Controls, and ISO 27001.
Preferred Qualifications
Security certifications such as CISSP, Security+, GICSP, CyberArk Defender/Sentry, or Azure Security Engineer Associate.
Experience with Zero Trust security architectures.
Background supporting regulated environments such as financial services, insurance, or healthcare.
Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and cloud-native security controls.
