The Cyber Mission Support (CMS) Leader is responsible for guiding, developing, and enabling execution of the Digital cybersecurity strategy while enhancing business performance globally. This person will be leading a cohort of Cybersecurity & Compliance Leaders (CCLs) that directly represents cybersecurity in business unit functions and strategic business units, reporting directly to the CISO. This role ensures consistent, business-aligned, and risk-driven outcomes that strengthen cybersecurity posture, compliance readiness to all regulations globally and internal to RTX, operational resilience, and mission assurance across the enterprise.
In addition, this position will represent the business unit CISO in all matters where the business unit CISO is not present, providing additional leadership coverage and operational oversight. They will effectively serve as an extension of the business unit CISO as an empowered delegate at RTX and industry councils in addition to strategic planning and goal alignment.
What You Will Do:
• Interact extensively across the organization and with external stakeholders, serving as a central coordination and influence point for cybersecurity matters.
• Engage executive leadership, IT and engineering teams, legal, compliance, privacy, risk management, internal audit, and business unit leaders, with communications focused on translating cyber risk into business impact, aligning priorities, guiding execution, and resolving issues.
• Communicate with regulators, auditors, customers, partners, and key vendors to articulate the organization’s security posture, address findings or concerns, negotiate requirements and plans to achieve, and build trust.
Qualifications You Must Have:
• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 14 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 12 years experience.
• Proven advanced business knowledge, broad cybersecurity experience across more than 1 domain, and general management and leadership capability to lead an embedded cyber team that directly interfaces with the internal and external customers.

The salary range for this role is 186,200 USD – 353,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
