We are currently seeking a Configuration Management Analyst, Journeyman (Temporary) to support PMA-276 at the Patuxent River, MD Program Office. The candidate will be a member of the Configuration Management/Data Management Team, will report to the CM lead and shall provide configuration management support. A Journeyman level person typically works on mission critical aspects of a given program and performs all functional duties independently. THIS IS A TEMPORARY POSITION that may become a full-time position, but there are no guarantees. Collects, organizes and interprets data relating to aircraft and product programs. Maintains configuration control of acquisition products and data. Tracks configuration changes. Coordinates and supports development of Engineering Change Proposals. Applies government-instituted processes for documentation, change control management and data management.

Required Experience: At least Ten (10) years of combined experience performing duties described in the functional description, with at least 5 of those years performing management, technical, or business case analyses and collecting, completing, organizing and interpreting data relating to aircraft/weapon/project acquisition and product programs.

Duties and Responsibilities: Duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Participate as a member of the Configuration Management/Data Management (CM/DM) team supporting PMA-276 programs and initiatives.
• Provide Configuration Management support for developmental and sustainment efforts, ensuring compliance with NAVAIR CM policies, processes, and lifecycle requirements.
• Support the development, review, and coordination of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and other configuration change documentation throughout the change management process.
• Maintain configuration control and status accounting of program documentation, ensuring accurate tracking of product baselines, configuration changes, and associated records.
• Utilize enterprise CM tools (e.g., ECM and related systems) to enter, track, and manage change packages, technical documentation, and associated data.
• Coordinate with IPT Leads, engineers, logisticians, contractors, and other program stakeholders to ensure configuration changes are properly documented, reviewed, and implemented.
• Monitor and track time-sensitive program documentation and ensure required inputs are submitted accurately and within established timelines.
• Support Configuration Control Board (CCB) activities by assisting with change package preparation, technical reviews, and documentation management.
• Prepare and present configuration status updates and analysis to program leadership and team members as required.
• Utilize Microsoft Office and collaboration tools (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint) to organize, manage, and communicate program data and documentation.

Required Education: Journeyman – BA/BS degree.

Allowable Substitution: Associate’s Degree plus two (2) years additional work experience performing duties described in the functional description of the labor category may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree. OR Four (4) years additional work experience performing duties described in the functional description of the labor category may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree. OR Six (6) years additional work experience performing duties described in the functional description of the labor category may be substituted for a Master’s Degree.

Required Experience: J o urneyman – 3 to 10 years of combined experience performing duties described in the functional description.

Desired Experience: At least 1 year of experience in the DoD configuration change management process. FMS Configuration Management experience is also desired.
