Join the House of Commons’ IT Security Operations Team as a Junior IT Security Analyst. Engage in active threat monitoring and cybersecurity support in a full-time on-site setting.
This role focuses on protecting parliamentary technologies by monitoring security threats and aiding in security operations. You will work closely with senior analysts to triage security alerts using tools like SIEM and EDR, while ensuring compliance and security during critical parliamentary operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor and triage security alerts from various tools
• Investigate phishing attempts and malware detections
• Assist with the escalation of security incidents
• Maintain security during parliamentary events
• Collaborate with senior team members for effective operations
Requirements:
• Degree in cybersecurity or similar area
• Knowledge of alert analysis and triage processes
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 security technologies
• Experience in operating systems (Windows/Linux)
• Understanding of network protocols and security concepts
