Job Title: Windchill Solution Architect
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Windchill Solution Architect to lead the design, architecture, and implementation of enterprise Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions using PTC Windchill. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in Windchill architecture, customization, integration, and solution design while collaborating with business stakeholders, development teams, and clients to deliver scalable, high-quality PLM solutions.
The architect will provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, from solution design and proof of concept to enterprise-wide implementation and production support.
Key Responsibilities
• Design end-to-end solution architectures for enterprise PLM implementations using PTC Windchill.
• Lead technical design discussions and define scalable, maintainable PLM architectures.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze functional and technical requirements.
• Translate business requirements into robust technical solutions aligned with organizational objectives.
• Architect and implement Windchill modules including:
• PDMLink
• MPMLink
• Quality Management System (QMS)
• Lead Windchill customization, configuration, and development activities.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams.
• Evaluate and recommend PLM solutions based on customer requirements and industry best practices.
• Lead proof-of-concept initiatives and enterprise PLM transformation projects.
• Design and oversee integrations between Windchill and enterprise systems such as ERP, CAD, MES, and other engineering applications.
• Participate in PLM practice development and solution accelerators.
• Conduct architecture reviews and ensure compliance with enterprise standards.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and recommend long-term solutions.
• Support proposal development, customer presentations, and solution demonstrations.
• Drive innovation by adopting the latest Windchill capabilities and PLM technologies.
Required Technical Skills
• 10+ years of IT experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)
• Strong expertise in PTC Windchill
• Experience as a Windchill Solution Architect
• Extensive experience in:
• Windchill Development
• Windchill Customization
• Windchill Configuration
• Windchill Solution Design
• Hands-on implementation experience with:
• PDMLink
• MPMLink
• QMS
• Experience designing enterprise PLM architectures
• Strong understanding of PLM processes and product data management
• Experience integrating Windchill with enterprise applications
• Knowledge of engineering change management and product lifecycle processes
• Experience with enterprise application architecture and system integrations
Preferred Skills
• Experience with large-scale PLM implementation projects
• Knowledge of CAD integrations
• Experience with enterprise manufacturing environments
• Exposure to Agile development methodologies
• Understanding of digital transformation initiatives
• Experience with cloud-based PLM deployments
