Are you ready to step into a pivotal role as a GSOC Dispatch Specialist?

This high-visibility position is essential for ensuring the seamless transfer of information from our Security Operations Center (SOC) to Corporate Security Management. Operating 24/7, the SOC equips our Security Operations Team with comprehensive monitoring capabilities, utilizing advanced technologies for a holistic overview of activities across our enterprise. You will be integral in identifying and prioritizing actionable security incidents. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, is essential.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Monitor alarms
• Monitor CCTV and conduct camera surveys
• Manage incoming calls via an IP-based telephone system
• Use multi-channel communications for radio dispatch
• Log radio communications and calls
• Support operations by routing information to the appropriate units
• Ensure timely and effective responses to incidents, alarms, and notifications
• Receive and respond to emergency and non-emergency calls from various stakeholders
• Process and evaluate information for appropriate response and communication
• Coordinate documentation to support guard force activities
• Perform additional duties as assigned

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass state-required training and licensing qualifications
• Pre-offer assessment demonstrating skills in multi-tasking, decision making, active listening, communication, call management, and problem solving

Type and Length of Experience Required:
• Analytic and critical thinking skills with report preparation abilities
• Competency with advanced computer systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Experience with communication devices and consoles
• Ability to thrive under pressure and adapt to changing environments

Knowledge and Skills:
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Planning and organizational abilities
• Expertise in problem-solving and attention to detail
• Proficiency in assessing situations and evaluating critical issues

OTHER RELATED ATTRIBUTES THAT WOULD ENHANCE HIRING CONSIDERATION:
• Associate degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Communications, or a related field
• Professional training in customer service, dispatch operations, or security/emergency services
• Experience with various security software and systems, such as access control and alarm monitoring software
• Background in a modern 911 Call Center or similar dispatch operations

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENT:
• Office environment with minimal exposure to extreme temperatures
• Major activity includes working on a PC and communicating via telephone/radio while seated
• Some physical activity, including standing, bending, and limited stretching required
• Must pass a drug screening in accordance with legal standards
