The Role
Cloud & Security Account Manager — Mid-Level (3–7 years). We provide the product portfolio. You provide the hustle. No pre-built territory. No inbound leads. You identify your own prospects and earn your pipeline.
What You’ll Sell
• Cloud: AWS, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365
• Security: SentinelOne, CrowdStrike, Proofpoint, WatchGuard, Sophos and more via the VNC Marketplace
• Vigillix™ — our AI-native security and compliance platform
• HybridPM Framework™ — our pilot project management SaaS
What We’re Looking For
• 3–7 years technology sales, consistent quota attainment
• Cloud and/or cybersecurity sales experience
• Self-generator — you build pipeline, you don’t wait for it
• CRM proficiency: HubSpot, Salesforce or similar
• DMV-area network a strong plus
Compensation — No Vague Milestones. Real Numbers.
Phase 1 — 100% Commission (1099, uncapped)
• 10% on product/license MRR
• 12% on managed service retainer MRR
• 7% on one-time project/SOW deals
• Top performers: $60K–$100K+ Year 1
Phase 2 — $45,000 Base + Commission (still 1099)
• Triggered when team reaches $15,000 MRR sustained for 60 consecutive days
• Commission rates stay. You added a floor, not a ceiling.
Phase 3 — W-2 Full Employment + Benefits
• Triggered when team reaches $35,000 MRR sustained for 90 consecutive days
• Health, dental, vision, PTO + competitive base + tiered commission
Location
Remote — DC, Maryland & Virginia preferred. National candidates considered.
Employment Type
Full-time path — starting as 1099 contractor, converting to W-2 employee upon reaching Phase 3 milestone.
