Chesapeake Search Partners has partnered with a mission-driven, nonprofit senior living and healthcare organization to identify a Vice President of Information Technology. This organization provides a full continuum of care – including independent living, assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing – across multiple communities and is recognized for its strong values, collaborative culture, and commitment to delivering high-quality resident experiences.

The Vice President of IT will serve as a key member of the leadership team, responsible for shaping and executing IT strategy, modernizing systems and infrastructure, and ensuring a secure, scalable technology environment that supports both current operations and future growth.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with organizational priorities and growth initiatives
• Provide executive-level oversight of IT operations, including infrastructure, networks, enterprise systems, and user support
• Ensure the security, performance, and reliability of all systems, with a strong focus on data privacy and regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA)
• Lead cybersecurity strategy, risk management, and incident response planning
• Oversee clinical technology platforms, including electronic health record (EHR) systems, and ensure effective integration with enterprise applications
• Drive system integration and modernization efforts, including ERP implementation and optimization initiatives
• Partner cross-functionally with clinical, operational, and administrative leadership to improve workflows, care coordination, and user experience
• Manage external vendors, consultants, and technology partners
• Provide leadership and direction to the IT team, with a focus on engagement, performance, and continuous improvement
• Support business continuity planning, disaster recovery strategies, and long-term scalability of the technology environment

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred
• 8+ years of progressive IT experience, including leadership responsibility within complex organizations
• Prior experience in healthcare, senior living, or similarly regulated environments strongly preferred
• Demonstrated expertise in IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, systems integration, and enterprise applications
• Experience working with electronic health record (EHR) systems and supporting clinical technology environments
• Proven track record of leading teams, driving change, and executing large-scale technology initiatives
• Strong business acumen with the ability to align technology solutions to organizational goals
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of an organization
• A proactive, solutions-oriented leader with the ability to operate both strategically and tactically
