Cloud Security Engineer with DevOps and Containerization Expertise
We are seeking an experienced Information Security Engineer to help shape and enhance our security posture across cloud environments, particularly in public and hybrid settings. As part of a dynamic team, you will define, deliver, and support critical enterprise security tools, working extensively with both custom and commercial solutions.
This role not only involves maintaining and improving security tooling but also participating in various security projects and supporting ongoing operational responsibilities within the Information Security function.
Please note, this position requires working on a W2 basis. We offer an attractive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Rate: $75.00 to $85.00/hr. W2
Key Responsibilities:
• Act as a security engineer and consultant for cloud projects.
• Design and implement well-architected security solutions in line with software development best practices.
• Provide guidance to Principal Engineers and Product Owners regarding product operations and evolution.
• Develop, test, and implement security solutions at the Feature level.
• Support ongoing information security operations, including creating and maintaining relevant standards, procedures, and guidelines.
• Leverage your understanding of virtualization and containerization technologies.
• Participate in on-call rotation for operational support during normal working hours.
Experience Requirements:
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies.
• Expertise in containerization.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub, CI/CD, Terraform).
• Knowledge of public cloud security and architecture.
• Experience in information security engineering and operations.
• Preferred: experience with container scanning.
• Preferred: experience with CSPM tools such as Prisma Cloud, AWS Config, or similar.
