In this role, you’ll act as both a protector and a creator, ensuring that all engagement with the GenAI Innovation Center meets AWS’s stringent security standards while also working directly with customers to deliver secure GenAI solutions.

We are looking for a passionate Generative AI Security Consultant to take on the roles of engagement security leader and hands-on expert throughout the GenAI delivery process. You’ll evaluate security for global engagements, and then contribute as a consultant and builder. From Proof of Concepts to Forward Deployed Engineering projects and traditional consulting, your expertise will ensure we maintain high security standards while achieving customer success.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:
• Conducting security assessments, architecture reviews, and compliance evaluations across global GenAI engagements.
• Engaging with customers as a billable security consultant, providing hands-on security architecture and advisory services.
• Establishing and enforcing AWS security standards across various engagement types, translating security requirements into actionable solutions.
• Collaborating with AWS Security, ProServe Security, and third-party partners to implement robust yet pragmatic security controls.
• Developing reusable security patterns, accelerators, and reference architectures based on real-world experiences that amplify your impact across the practice.

Your Daily Activities May Include:

As a Generative AI Security Consultant, your day may start with conducting a security assessment for an impending POC, identifying the security requirements and compliance obligations. Mid-morning, you might immerse yourself in a Forward Deployed Engineering project, crafting and testing security controls for a client’s Amazon Bedrock implementation. After lunch, you could facilitate a security review for a consulting engagement, scrutinizing architecture and code for vulnerabilities. In the afternoon, you might collaborate with AWS Security on a high-risk use case or contribute to developing a reusable security accelerator based on recent case learnings. Your role will blend governance oversight, practical delivery, stakeholder engagement, and knowledge sharing to ensure GenAI delivers securely at scale.

Basic qualifications include:
• 3+ years of experience in cloud architecture and solution implementation.
• Familiarity with core AWS services (EC2, ELB, RDS, Route53, S3).
• Experience implementing AWS services in various distributed environments.

Preferred Qualifications:
• 5+ years in IT implementation.
• A degree in advanced technology or AWS Professional-level certification.
• Knowledge of additional AWS services across machine learning, databases, and serverless technologies.
• Understanding of security and compliance standards, including HIPAA and GDPR.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing cloud solutions.
• Expertise in optimizing performance and managing cloud costs.
• Experience in presenting technical solutions to diverse audiences in pre-sales contexts.

The base salary range for this position is specified below, with total compensation inclusive of sign-on payments and RSUs. Final compensation dependent on experience, qualifications, and location.
