Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced AI Cybersecurity Governance Specialist to join a leading banking organization in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will play a critical role in establishing, implementing, and maintaining governance frameworks that ensure secure, compliant, and responsible deployment of AI technologies across the organization. Working closely with cybersecurity, risk, compliance, legal, data science, and technology teams, you will help shape enterprise-wide AI governance practices while ensuring alignment with evolving regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain AI governance frameworks across enterprise AI initiatives.

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal governance policies.

• Establish and manage model risk management programs for Generative AI and AI-driven banking solutions.

• Conduct cybersecurity risk assessments and threat analysis for AI and machine learning platforms.

• Evaluate AI systems for security, privacy, resilience, and compliance risks.

• Develop governance controls, policies, procedures, and risk mitigation strategies.

• Support regulatory reporting and compliance assessments related to AI technologies.

• Collaborate with cybersecurity, risk management, compliance, legal, and technology teams.

• Monitor emerging AI regulations and assess organizational readiness for compliance.

• Ensure alignment between AI initiatives, enterprise risk management frameworks, and business objectives.

• Provide governance guidance throughout the AI solution lifecycle.

• Support audits, reviews, and governance committee activities related to AI programs.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, Risk Management, Data Science, or a related field.

Experience

• 10–12 years of experience in cybersecurity, governance, risk, and compliance.

• Proven experience developing and managing enterprise AI governance frameworks.

• Experience supporting AI, machine learning, and Generative AI initiatives within regulated environments.

• Strong background in cybersecurity risk management and enterprise governance programs.

Technical & Governance Skills

• AI Governance Framework development and implementation.

• Model Risk Management for AI and Generative AI systems.

• Cyber Risk Assessments for AI/ML infrastructure and platforms.

• Enterprise Risk Management and Governance Controls.

• Regulatory Compliance and Risk Governance.
