Penetration Tester / Ethical Hacker

Cyber Linx Solutions, LLC is seeking a highly technical individual to proactively identify security weaknesses through controlled and authorized simulated attacks on systems, networks, and applications. The role is critical in helping organizations understand their security posture by uncovering exploitable vulnerabilities and demonstrating real‑world attack scenarios.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct network, web application, and system penetration tests using industry‑standard methodologies.
• Perform manual and automated testing to identify exploitable vulnerabilities.
• Simulate real‑world attack scenarios to evaluate security defenses.
• Test environments including on‑premise infrastructure, cloud platforms, APIs, and applications.
Vulnerability Identification & Exploitation
• Identify, validate, and exploit security vulnerabilities to demonstrate risk.
• Analyze weaknesses such as misconfigurations, insecure code, and access control flaws.
• Map attack paths and identify potential lateral movement opportunities.
Risk Analysis & Business Impact
• Clearly articulate attack paths, exploit scenarios, and potential business impact.
• Prioritize findings based on severity, exploitability, and organizational risk.
• Provide actionable insights into how vulnerabilities could be leveraged by attackers.
• Deliver clear, actionable remediation recommendations for identified vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and security teams to support remediation efforts.
• Provide retesting and validation after fixes are implemented.
Position Requirements

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2–5 years of experience in penetration testing, ethical hacking, or offensive security.
• Hands‑on experience with tools such as Burp Suite, Metasploit, Nmap, Wireshark, and OWASP ZAP.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols and architectures, web application security (OWASP Top 10), and operating systems (Windows and Linux).
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with cloud security testing (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and application security testing (SAST/DAST).
• Familiarity with Active Directory security and privilege escalation techniques.
• Relevant certifications such as CEH, OSCP, GPEN, and GWAPT.
