Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a dedicated Data Center Security Manager (DSM) to lead physical security operations for our data centers. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining a robust security posture across multiple facilities, reporting directly to the Cluster Security Manager.
The role involves:
• Security Operations Management: Oversee on-site physical security operations, including access control, guard force performance, and vendor management.
• Compliance and Standards: Ensure adherence to AWS security standards and conduct risk assessments and audits.
• Process and Policy Management: Develop and implement security processes, evacuation procedures, and emergency response protocols.
• Relationship Management: Collaborate with internal teams (DC Engineering, DC Operations) and coordinate with external partners and emergency services.
• Project Management: Deliver security projects on time and within budget, providing regular updates to stakeholders and addressing any security deficiencies.

Basic Qualifications:
• 5+ years in the public or private security sector.
• Experience with corporate or data center security at a global level.
• Track record in business continuity and operational security.
• Strong knowledge of physical security systems.
• Expertise in analyzing security metrics and developing training programs.
• Experience in crisis management and strategic planning.
• Ability to build strong relationships across diverse teams.
• Proven project management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of investigative laws and experience in security investigations.
• Advanced understanding of security technology such as access control systems and CCTV operations.
• Relevant security certifications and safety credentials.
• Vendor management experience and decision-making in complex scenarios.
• Proficiency with data analysis tools.
• Fluency in Italian (verbal and written).
The position may require travel to various locations. A valid driver’s license is necessary as personal vehicles will be used between sites.
