About the Role

The role involves understanding and applying various cybersecurity and cloud security concepts, technologies, and practices to ensure a secure environment.

Responsibilities

• Secure Architecture: Design and deploy security guardrails for public and hybrid clouds (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), ensuring new infrastructure follows security best practices.
• Identity & Access Management (IAM): Configure Single Sign-On (SSO), Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and Conditional Access policies to prevent unauthorized access.
• Vulnerability & Threat Management: Continuously monitor cloud environments for security risks, assess system vulnerabilities, and drive incident response.
• Automation: Implement security automation (DevSecOps) to build compliant environments using cloud-native tools, APIs, and scripting.
• Compliance & Governance: Ensure all cloud resources adhere to industry regulations and organizational security baselines through periodic audits.

Qualifications

• Experience: 3-5+ years in information security, systems engineering, or technical cloud architecture.
• Platform Knowledge: Hands-on experience working with major cloud providers (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
• Scripting Skills: Proficiency with automation tools and languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Terraform.
• Security Frameworks: Understanding of cloud-specific security models (e.g., CSPM, CWPP, and CNAPP).

Preferred Skills

• CCSP: Certified Cloud Security Professional
• CCSK: Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge
• CISSP: Certified Information Systems Security Professional
• Cloud-Specific: Platform certifications like AWS Certified Security or Microsoft Azure Security Engineer (e.g., AZ-500)
