A Cyber Security Project Engineer bridges the gap between technical IT defense and project management. They are responsible for designing, deploying, and validating cybersecurity solutions within IT or OT (Operational Technology) projects, ensuring security requirements are met on time, on budget, and in compliance with industry standards.
• Project Execution: Manage cybersecurity workstreams from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with project timelines and business objectives.
• Secure Architecture & Implementation: Design, build, and integrate secure networks, firewalls, SIEM, and EDR systems.
• Compliance & Auditing: Ensure project designs comply with security frameworks like ISO27001, NIST, or ISA/IEC 62443.
• Risk & Vulnerability Management: Conduct security audits, assess infrastructure vulnerabilities, and implement mitigations.
• Stakeholder Alignment: Communicate complex security concepts to executive sponsors, project teams, and external suppliers.
