This position is in the Supervision/Management Work Category at the Senior Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure.

This position is for DISA White House Communications Agency at Joint Base Anacostia‑Bolling, District of Columbia. This is an Excepted Service position and does not confer eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. If you are a current Federal Career/Career‑Conditional employee, you will be placed on an Excepted appointment under 10 U.S.C. 1599f.

Basic Requirements

• Attention to Detail: experience reviewing your own IT-related work or data and responsible for reviewing the work of others to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency with standards.

• Customer Service: developing and maintaining relationships with customers, anticipating and assessing current and future IT needs, and developing or identifying IT products or services tailored to meet customer needs.

• Oral Communication: briefing senior‑level management and IT staff on the status of IT systems, projects, and daily operations, including communication of complex technical information to a non‑technical audience.

• Problem Solving: identifying alternatives to address unique, highly complex, or sensitive IT‑related issues; anticipating IT problems and evaluating potential sources of information to generate alternative solutions.

• In addition to meeting the basic requirement, applicants must possess qualifying experience.

Qualifying Experience

To qualify at the GG‑14, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service.

• Experience performing full‑lifecycle project management duties to support the planning and implementation of information security policies, software, and systems.

• OR experience performing systems administration functions to support and secure large‑scale, multi‑classification network infrastructures.

• OR experience providing technical guidance to senior leadership on information technology and cybersecurity issues, including risk, policy, and information security considerations.

Additionally, prior to reporting for duty the selectee must be found eligible for a DoD Top Secret security clearance with access to Special Compartmented Information (SCI) based upon a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI), and be approved for Presidential Support Duty in accordance with Department of Defense Directive 5210.55 (Yankee White – Category II, minimum).
