Job Description

Company: The Princeton Group

Location: Camden, US

We are looking for a technical Cybersecurity Director to join our security team and serve as a key partner to our CISO. This is a high-impact, hands-on leadership role for a senior security professional who is equally comfortable setting strategy and rolling up their sleeves to get the work done. If you thrive in a lean, fast-moving environment where your decisions directly shape an organization’s security posture — this role is for you.

What You’ll Own
• Lead the design, execution, and continuous improvement of the firm’s cybersecurity strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and risk appetite
• Serve as a senior technical and strategic partner to the CISO, driving cybersecurity initiatives from concept through delivery with measurable outcomes
• Take full ownership of the firm’s security architecture and control framework — spanning endpoints, identity, cloud, logging, and threat detection — ensuring it evolves with the threat landscape
• Lead security monitoring and incident response operations, overseeing detection, investigation, escalation, and resolution of security events across internal teams and third-party partners
• Own vulnerability management and security testing programs, ensuring risks are identified, prioritized, and remediated in line with business impact
• Define and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures in alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
• Partner closely with infrastructure and network teams to design and implement security controls including firewall policies and network protections
• Manage the firm’s phishing simulation, social engineering testing, and cybersecurity awareness training programs to build a strong security culture across the organization
• Ensure endpoint and infrastructure hygiene programs are operating effectively, including patching cadence and configuration management
• Drive thorough incident documentation, post-incident analysis, and executive-level reporting
• Participate in DR, BCP, and tabletop exercises, identifying gaps and driving remediation
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders across IT and the business to embed security thinking into systems, processes, and decision-making at every level

What You Bring
• 10+ years of progressive cybersecurity experience with demonstrated hands-on technical depth across multiple security domains
• Proven track record leading security programs in a lean, high-accountability environment where you have owned outcomes end-to-end
• Deep expertise across security architecture, threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, and identity and access management
• Strong working knowledge of endpoint security, cloud security, SIEM/EDR tooling, and network security controls
• Experience governing security frameworks and ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory standards
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex security risks and initiatives clearly to both technical teams and senior business stakeholders
• A strategic mindset paired with the willingness and ability to contribute directly at a technical level when needed
• Experience with DR/BCP planning and incident response tabletop exercises
• Financial services or similarly regulated industry experience a strong plus
